Ductile Cast Iron Half-shaft Housing
It is a core structural and protective component that encloses and supports the half-shaft (a key part for transmitting power to the driving wheels). Usually made of high-strength cast iron or alloy steel, it is installed on the axle assembly of agricultural equipment (such as tractors and harvesters) and serves to connect the transmission system to the driving wheels.
Main Functions:
1. Structural Support: Fixes and positions the half-shaft, ensuring the half-shaft rotates stably during power transmission and bears the mechanical load from the wheels.
2. Contamination Prevention and Wear Resistance: Blocks external impurities in the field (such as soil, crop residues and water) from entering internal components (e.g., bearings, half-shaft joints), preventing abnormal wear or failure of the components.
3. Load Bearing: Absorbs and disperses the impact force and torque generated when agricultural machinery operates in the field (e.g., bumping, steering, and load-bearing), protecting the half-shaft and transmission system from damage and ensuring the stable operation of the equipment.
