Gray Cast Iron Forklift Transmission Cover
The forklift transmission cover is a structural component located on the top or side of the transmission housing. It serves to seal the internal space of the transmission, provide mounting points for transmission control components, and offer access for maintenance and assembly.
Main Functions:
1. The cover, combined with sealing gaskets or O-rings, prevents lubricant leakage, keeps the interior of the transmission clean, and maintains proper oil pressure.
2. Allows technicians to inspect, repair, or replace internal transmission components (such as gears, shift forks, and bearings) by opening the cover.
3. Some covers are designed with reinforcement ribs to improve overall rigidity and enhance the housing’s ability to withstand shock and vibration.
